Where’s Your Perspective From?

Spiritually speaking there are only two perspectives, godly, and worldly. Our perspective on any given thing is very important in that when considering any subject, the perspective you are looking from can lead you to fight to the death whether you are right or wrong and many fight hard against the truth only because of perspective. Our perspective can cause us to sin or not sin, to fight or run, and this all depends on its origin. Imagine the two perspectives of Israel and David. As for Israel’s perspective we read, “ When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.” (1 Sam. 17:11). David’s “perspective”? in facing Goliath little David looking up at this giant of a man in comparison to himself, saw right past the giant all the way up to His all powerful God and said, “…I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel…This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand…that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47 Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands” (1 Sam. 17:45-47). So, if we are to arrive at the truth in any given matter we first must examine the origins of our “own perspective” and be willing to change perspective if it comes from a worldly source…
