The apostle Paul describes why we need the shield, “above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (Eph. 6:16).

- Please don’t overlook the power of this shield of faith. For it has the power to quench or extinguish all the “fiery darts of the wicked one”.
- Not just one, not a few, not a lot—all. . .
- The shield of faith God provided us with enables us to stand spiritually against the devil’s tactics.
- [1 Peter 1:3]: Peter wrote, “3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3).
- See there in verse 5, we are “…kept by the power of God through faith for salvation…” (1 Peter 1:5)
Is the devil attacking you right now? Perhaps it is through the guilt of sin. Are you dealing with inconsistent or wavering faith? Are you fighting through physical suffering? Are you dealing with an illness? – Are you dealing with immorality? Know this—that no matter what arrows are being case at you—the shield of faith will extinguish them?
