Jim began full time preaching in 1984 with the church in New Carlisle, Ohio, while working in a secular position with the Dayton Public Schools. Upon retirement in 2002 from the school system, Jim and his wife Sandi relocated to southern Ohio to labor with the church located in New Richmond. After working with the church there for about 2 ½ years, the position for preacher opened at Englewood. Jim expressed his interest in the vacant position, met with the brethren, and agreed to begin his labor with Englewood in September 2004.
