In our lesson we want to talk about the simple practical things that we can and cannot change. We’ll begin at the end of the phrase with, the wisdom to know the difference between the two. This wisdom begins not with our own understanding, but with petition to God for His guidance and His wisdom to discern these things.
“5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind” (James 1:5-6). We all can ask God for wisdom Remember Solomon who could have asked for anything, any material thing in the world, but he asked God for wisdom, and that God gave him along with what he didn’t ask for. When we pray to God for wisdom it can come from many different sources, parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters in Christ, etc.
We will also talk about the serenity and peace that comes with wisdom, and knowledge, as we are guided by the wisdom from above…
