What Makes It True?

Many Preachers, many churches, and many teachings in our world today.

Consider that Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

But considering that Paul said, “1 I, therefore, the prisoner [a]of the Lord, [b]beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in [c]you all.” (Eph. 4:1-6).

And Paul’s pleading: “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all [a]speak the same thing, and that there be no [b]divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (1 Cor. 1:10).

So, how do we know what is truth and what is not? Let me say, it has nothing to do with interpretation but has everything to do with lack of personal study, combined with obedience to the teachings of God through His word.

When men say things, teach things, command things, that are not in harmony with the inspired word of God–they are wrong. Bottom line!

We just need to let God be true and every man a liar (Rom. 3:4), then and only  then will we have the unity of the Spirit and the Bond of Peace that God wants us to have.
