Where Lies Your Faith

Last Wednesday night—the few gathered here and sang wonderful songs—hymns and spiritual songs to the theme—more, more about Jesus. That got me thinking about how the more we learn about Jesus the stronger—more steadfast our faith becomes. That got me to think of the many who have weak faith. And, that got me thinking of the important and critical question I often ask people I meet.

The question: Where does your faith lie?
Concerning the “The Many and the Few”. Jesus said, “13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 [a]Because narrow is the gate and [b]difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matt. 7:13-14). Peter wrote of the many in contrast to the few, saying, “who formerly were disobedient, [a]when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.” (1 Peter 1:20).

I’ve found “few” people who are able to pin down exactly why they believe what they believe.
Even fewer are able to pin down where their “faith” comes from.
If we really want to see Jesus, if we really want to be among those who will be delivered up to the Father—we must be able to adequately answer what we believe and why.

It is an important question that we must all be ready to answer for ourselves. The truth is, we are all on a journey and if that journey is with Jesus according to His truth—God’s word—we will spend eternity with Him.

Where Your Faith Lies Determines Where You’ll Lie in Eternity!
