Revelation Part 12
God Wipes Away Every Tear
Question: Have you ever felt overwhelmed? Ever cried over the loss of a loved one, cried because the world feels like a unbearable weight?
- Ever speak to someone about the love of Christ, their need to repent – only to receive hate in return.
- When you see the world today – sin seems to abound everywhere – violence, murders, hate are norms – does this ever great at your soul – you hope it will all end…
- Living in this world for God’s people – sometimes brings overwhelming sorry.
This chapter was written to the servants of Christ and it must have brought them great comfort because through it – Jesus is telling them – the time is coming when you will all rejoice.
- The trials, the persecution, the troubles, the murders, the hurts, and yes even the tears will all be wiped away.
- What will remain is – complete and utter victory – eternal rest – eternal joy – eternal life with God and the Lamb.
To understand Revelation we must always remember who the author is, who the recipients are and when they were to expect these things to take place…
“1 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”” (Rev. 7:1-3)
